Nā Te Pō ka puta ki Te Ao Mārama – from The Darkness to the World of Light and Knowledge, come one and all to Tūhura Otago Museum’s annual celebration of the International Day of Light!

Tūhura’s fabulous science team will be joined by scientists from the University of Otago to bring you all kinds of activities to demonstrate just how important light is, from the fields of science and technology to art and culture. There will be demos with lasers, lenses, and luminous chemicals – come and discover something wonderful with us!

And be sure to join Professor Deb Kane of Macquarie University at 4pm in the Barclay Theatre for an expert talk on dazzling displays of light and colour in the natural world!
